How To Make Your Own Homemade Wine - Fun, Simple and Easy!
 by: Mirko Davidovic

In today’s world each region is influenced with vast multi-ethnic diversity. The food that we consume is just as complex producing a definite acquired taste.

Wine is no exception.

Making wine is truly an art. “Scientific” approach and procedures will get you so far, but to make a perfect batch of wine it will take your personal touch.

To start off, the best fruit for making wine is grape. This is truly the fruit of the “gods” as it is the only fruit balanced in every respect. It has the right equilibrium of sugar , acids (tartaric, Malic, Ascorbic etc.), yeast nutrients, tannins, water content, etc. Most other fruits, although will produce good wines, are usually lacking either one or more compounds to attain perfection.

Wine is produced by anaerobic fermentation. The alcohol content is directly proportional to the sugar present in the juice. All of the other ingredients, whether natural or supplemented, are to enhance the taste, ability of yeast to convert sugar to alcohol, catalyze the conversion process, and to add the bouquet to the finished product.

Why Hire A Wedding Designer?

July 30, 2007

As couples begin thinking about their wedding, they are often confused over how much to spend, where to obtain specialized services, and how to choose vendors. These worries often mount as quickly as the cost of the wedding. After the euphoria wears off and the reality settles in, it’s shocking to discover how much preparation is involved. Couples are faced with decisions about everything from invitation wording to planning their honeymoon. Couples often find they want experienced professional help.

Not long ago, a wedding designer was thought of as a luxury, only used by the wealthy. Now a designer is an essential element of a well-planned affair. It is no longer “trendy” to engage someone to handle the details. Being experienced in negotiating contracts with caterers, florists, photographers, and other suppliers, the wedding designer saves you valuable time and money. The designer can take advantage of discounts not available to private parties and avoid costly mistakes, while turning your dreams into reality.

The average wedding can take more than two hundred and fifty hours to plan. With today’s hectic lifestyles, you may not have time to compare all the options, making sure you get the best deal, and making sure all the details are in place.

The Five Worst Date Places

July 29, 2007

Food in teeth, nausea, childhood stories and exposing your pot belly are all things you ought to avoid on first or second dates. You run the risk of experiencing these and other humiliating incidents if you choose the wrong place to bring your date. Good places are memorable, different, unique, cost-effective, and relevant to both of you in some way. Bad date places have none of these qualities and the worst places not only lack these things, but also embarrass you and assure that you’ll never get another date with the person again.

Let’s look at the function of a date. If you’re single, a date acts like an interview. Your goal is to get the other person to still like you enough when the date is over to go out with you again, assuming you’re still interested as well. You’re trying to appear cool, sexy, together, confident, and fun. You’re also trying to make the other person as comfortable as possible.

That’s why avoiding the worst places is the first step in smart dating. The following lists the worst places you could choose to go on a date and I recommend that you avoid them like the plague if you want the other person to still like you when it’s over.

International Adoption - Is It Possible To Triumph from Tragedy
 by: Stephen Morgan

In the early hours of Dec 26th 2004 the Western world awoke to the unfolding horror that we came to know as the Asian Tsunami. Those of us still recovering from obscenely large amounts of food and drink from the previous day sat transfixed as we watched a horror story of biblical proportions unfold before our very eyes.

The United Nations estimated that the Asian Tsunami left more than five million people homeless, including about 1.5 million children most of whom became orphaned. The outpouring of emotion from around the world was of mixed benefit as far as the region was concerned in that yes we all dug deep into our pockets and yes we all lobbied our Politicians to something about it and yes bizarrely this tragedy may have had some knock on effect in the movement to alleviate Third World debt and poverty but the blessings were mixed as far as the people on the ground were concerned.

Since the disaster, adoption agencies around the world have been fielding phone calls from well-meaning families wanting to adopt a child from one of the countries hit.

Mattresses and Marriage ? a Match Made in Heaven

July 27, 2007

Mattresses and marriage go hand in hand. Sleep is important to all of us, even the honeymooners. A good night sleep is critical for our performance the next day and for our health and well being in general. If the couple is not used to sleeping together, there will be just the issues of getting used to sleeping with someone. You don’t need the extra strain and complications of a mattress that is uncomfortable for one or both parties. My comfort in bed may not be yours. I like a soft mattress even though I have a bad back. My husband likes something that is more firm. There are mattresses on the market that boast the capability of adjusting the firmness to each person’s preference. That sounds great, but these mattresses aren’t inexpensive. In fact, most mattresses and box spring sets will set you back a few bills. In order for your chances of a better night sleep to be greater, I strongly advise for the new couple to pick out the mattress together instead of one person bringing a mattress into the marriage. That also feels better doesn’t it? I don’t like the idea of a "used" mattress coming into a marriage. This should be new just as the marriage is new. If the couple shops together for the new mattress set, there is a better chance they will find one that fits both their needs. Do the rest test in the store as most retailers won’t let you take one home and then return it; they frown on that from a hygienic aspect.

Boundaries - Not Just for Military Takeovers Anymore
 by: Dawn Goldberg

In December, I took two weeks vacation at home.

I repeat, I took two weeks vacation at home; I didn’t go anywhere. I stayed put.

I think it’s very important to take a vacation at home, and I don’t mean just for a day or two. That doesn’t really do it. When you’re at home for an extended period of time, and you’re not working, you get perspective on what your normal, everyday life is like when you are working - whether that’s working in the home or outside the home.

What this perspective showed me and what I have learned is monumental and has actually spurred me on to make great changes in my life and in my business.

Things that I thought were okay, really weren’t. For example, my girls are pretty self-sufficient when it comes to homework. They do their homework, practice their piano lessons, and read their requisite chapters after school. All I’m really required to do is to monitor, yell “Time!” when the required 20 minutes of reading is over, check over homework answers, and make sure that all homework is completed. I don’t need to sit there and watch them do each problem. So, I became a little complacent and began filling in this “free” time doing work.

She Rejected You: Some Reasons Why It Happened & What You Can Do?

July 25, 2007

There is just something that makes women NOT get attracted to men who have lower STATUS than themselves. There is always tension when a lady is taller than her man, she makes more money than him or when a guy is being ‘led around’ by his girlfriend or wife..

SCENE 1 You ask the lady where she would like to go. If she seems indifferent, make a decision: take her to a place YOU know and think she would like.If you don’t, she won’t see you as a leader.

SCENE 2 If you are dating this lady who seems so beautiful, such great company and seems successful too, you think you like her A LOT. You ask her out a second time and she agrees.

DO NOT:

1 tell her that you’re beginning to have feelings for her

2. do not call her the next day to ask her out again. You need to: give her a little space - let her ‘miss’ you just a bit.Let her pursue you.

Minor But Important Duties For Your Wedding Party, Bridesmaids, and Groomsmen

July 24, 2007

Your wedding party is a major factor in the success of your wedding day. Too many couples assume that once they’ve selected their brides maids and grooms men that they are finished. Unfortunately, many people don’t know what it means to be in a bridal party. Bridesmaids and groomsmen need to do more than just look pretty. Put these people to work! If your wedding party knows the who’s, what’s, when’s, and why’s, they will be able to handle many of the details that may derail the enjoyment of what should be your happiest day.

Many sites will tell you the traditional roles for your wedding party. I’m going to give you some tips on additional (and non-traditional) jobs for your bridesmaids and groomsmen to perform so that you can spend your time on more important details.

Babysitter: Make it the responsibility of someone in your wedding party to know where the rest of the wedding party is at all times. When time comes for someone to make a toast, the wedding party dance, the dollar dance, the garter auction, games, etc. it is frustrating for everyone to be waiting for that one person who is outside, in the bathroom, or talking to your cute cousin.

Greetings Card - What, When and How :
 by: Ajitesh Biswas

Whenever you need to wish your friend or acquaintances happy and belated birthday, or wish your near and dear ones merry Christmas, or send your beloved one happy valentines day wishes or just say hello or give a “get well soon” message to your bosom friend , you just go to a greetings card outlet or visit an online greetings card website and send the desired card. Have you ever wondered what greetings card is all about and how did it originate. If you have the desire to know, this article is for you.

So, lets start with what is a greeting card. Originally, greeting cards derive from postcards ( which are single sided without the fold ) and are an illustrated, folded card usually featuring a message of greeting or other sentiment. They can be either printed or handmade. Now, with the advent of Internet though, virtual greetings cards have evolved which doesnot fit into the above-mentioned definition. Although greeting cards are usually given on special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas or other holidays, they are also sent on ‘non-occasions’ to say ‘hello’ or ‘thank you’. They are manufactured and/or hand-made by hundreds of companies big and small.
