How To Interview A Wedding Photographer
by: Amy Spade
The photographer is going to be your employee in many ways, so you will need to be absolutely sure that this is a person that you can trust with your wedding pictures. Treat him or her like a job applicant and see how you interact with each other.
Making a list
You can find a list of wedding photographers in your local phone book, but it’s much easier to get onto a wedding website and see who local people recommend. This list is much shorter and can lead you to higher quality people without having to call everyone from A to Z.
Once you have a list of photographers, start to call them to set up appointments. Try not to schedule them too close to each other so that you can spend as much time as you need with each one. If you’re rushed, you may forget to ask particular questions and you may also forget which photographer said what.
Dating Dilemma: The Man Who Said Hed Call and Didnt
March 30, 2008
You went out with the guy. You both had a great time (or at least you thought he did!). You said goodnight, and he said he’d call you.
He didn’t.
Why? What did you say to offend him? Was it your hair? Your clothes? Your weight? What’s wrong with you, anyway?
The answers to those questions are as follows: Who cares? Nothing, no, no, no, and not a damn thing.
Every woman in the world–no matter how thin, beautiful, smart, kind or talented–has been disappointed by a guy she really liked who said he’d call but didn’t.
Whatever you do, don’t call him. Why? Because he said he’d call you, and he didn’t. Which means that either his word is no good (better to know that early on!), or that he accidentally threw away your phone number with the tin foil he wrapped his peanut butter sandwich in.
Yes, of course women have every right to phone a man (as long as they’re cool about it), but why put yourself at a disadvantage by calling someone who pretty much lied to you? Who needs it?
Todays Wedding Is Brought To You In Association With …
March 30, 2008
With the cost of today’s weddings spiraling to astronomical levels, some couples are now looking for sponsorship to help them have the big day that they have always dreamed of. This new trend of "selling out" on your big day has recently hit America by storm. Enterprising couples promise publicity to companies by mixing business cards with the confetti, a mention in the bride or groom’s speech and even a hyperlink on the their wedding day website. Sponsors are also mentioned in the wedding invitations and thank you letters and in some instances, may even be invited to the wedding to network.
According to you and your wedding, the average cost of the big day is now over $25,000. The biggest expenses are the honeymoon and the catering, with wedding dresses costing on average $1500. For some, finding any sort of assistance from sponsors is welcomed with open arms. That said, finding companies who are prepared to invest in your special day is no mean feat. The key is to convince the company that it will be worth their time and money and that a "win win situation" will result. It is, after all, an investment on their behalf, so randomly soliciting them and begging for assistance simply will not wash.

Baby Shower Invitation Wording - How to Write Your Baby Shower Invitation Like A Pro
by: Qing Gu
Do you want some creative baby shower invitation wording? Okay, the first thing you need to do is to sit down and think about who to be invited.
Have a conversation with the mom-to-be and decide the guest list. Or if your shower is a surprise one, phone up her close friends and relatives for the information about whose faces she would be happy to see.
Already have the answers? Great, finish your guest list, and we can start writing unique baby shower invites.
Baby shower theme sets the tone for the special event. So, the easiest approach is to have the wording reflect your shower themes.
For example, here is an idea for Winnie The Pooh baby shower invitation wording: “Mama Pooh, Daddy Pooh and what… a new Baby Pooh is on the way in the Smith Den! Celebrate the entire Smith family for their new arrival!”
You can easily change it to fit any other cute themes that use words like “Bear”, “Duck”, “Snoopy”, and “Frog” to replace the “Pooh”. The ideas are endless.
How to Remove Sticky Labels from New Clothing (Quickly & Easily!)

How to Remove Sticky Labels from New Clothing (Quickly & Easily!)
by: LeAnn R. Ralph
I recently acquired three new pairs of jeans. This particular brand (Field & Forest) came with a long label pasted down the back of one leg.
I tried and tried to peel the label off, but all that happened was small pieces of it broke off. The majority of the label remained stubbornly stuck to the pants.
“I can’t wear them that way!” I said to myself.
Then I remembered that non-aerosol hairspray removes ink from clothing. It is not necessarily the hairspray that works, I know, it’s the alcohol. I keep a spray bottle of ordinary rubbing alcohol in the bathroom to clean the faucets and the toilet and my eyeglasses, and I wondered if the alcohol would work on labels.
I retrieved the alcohol from the bathroom, sprayed the label on one new pair of jeans, waited a minute or two, got a paring knife out of the drawer in the kitchen — and presto! The label peeled off so quickly and easily, I could hardly believe it. The alcohol dried in 10 minutes, and I was able to wear my new pair of jeans.
Theres More to Wedding Invitations Than You Might Think
March 27, 2008
Everybody talks about wedding invitations, but what about all the other terms and items that are associated with them. Below are explanations of some of the more common terms and items that you’ll probably encounter while shopping for your invitations.
Seal n Send Invitations: This type of invitation is mailed to guests as a single-folded piece (without an envelope) having the respond postcard attached to the invitation by a perforation for easy removal. Since the respond piece is a postcard, you will save on postage for the return mailing. Prices for this product normally include seals along with a printed return address on both the back flap when initially mailing the invitation and on the perforated respond postcard.
Announcements: For those who won’t be invited to your wedding but you would still like them to know about your marriage, you can mail them an announcement card. They can be printed on the same paper as your invitation but mailed on your wedding day or immediately after with the wording stating that your wedding has already taken place.

Ten Tips for Buying Art - and Getting the Best Bang for Your Buck!
by: Oliver Ray
Investing in art can be rewarding on a personal and financial level. The following tips will ensure you get the best of both worlds!
1. Get online. Like everything else, comparison-shopping will ensure you find the best product for your situation. The Internet is the only efficient way to take advantage of the vast array of different styles, prices, mediums and sizes of art available to collectors.
2. Avoid art without a price. When you are directed to inquire about pricing, it is most likely an attempt to gauge your interest and charge you the highest possible price according to your circumstances.
3. Look for an independent artist. Commercial galleries have their place, but you get far better value when you purchase directly from an emerging or “not-yet-established” artist. Keep in mind, as well, that a gallery’s cut is usually 50% of what you pay.
4. Find a unique, consistent style. A contemporary work of art that looks “just like” a Monet or Picasso, for example, might have aesthetic appeal, but will not prove to be “valuable” over time. Ultimately, you want to find an artist who can eventually be identified by his or her style (without looking at the signature).
What is Confident Rapport?
March 25, 2008
The majority of theories on how to pick up girls were compiled by guys who had problems with women and tried to get better. Therein lies the very nature of the problems with most theory. They all assume that you, going over to the girl, have less value then her. By assuming this, you’re forced to play a role of lower value. Why on earth are you assuming you are worth less then the girl? I don’t care how hot she is!
This is especially true of the rapport versus attraction theory. The theory is: assuming you have two glasses that you need to fill attraction and rapport, the attraction glass must be filled before she will pay attention to your rapport. Well this theory suffers greatly from ‘my rapport isn’t high enough value for her to listen to.
What your saying is that you have to WORK for her ATTENTION. By thinking this, you PLAY into the role of having less value. Let me put it to you this way, if you are a nerd and you walk over to a hot girl and she says “bug off,” you’re probably going to turn around and walk away right? Then your going to come up with strategies to make her pay attention. Now what if you were better looking then Brad Pitt, had more money then Donald Trump, and she said that. You would probably laugh. And she would respond differently because you responded differently.

Bridal Shower Basics
March 24, 2008
A bridal shower is an excellent way for the bride to surround herself with her closest friends and family and relax, loosen up and have some fun. The bride can also use this time to share the experiences of those that have already married, and in a general way, espouse her expectations and dreams for the new adventure she is about to enter.
